Highlands High School

The Lady Bird Wrestling Team had a phenomenal weekend at the Madison Central Lady Indian Tomahawk Classic wrestling tournament. Highlands placed 3rd out of 19 teams with only 5 scoring wrestlers. Sophomore Laila Pinkston placed 2nd and Senior Emily Heilman placed 3rd in the 126-weight class. Freshman Emma Hood placed 3rd in the 152-weight class. Freshman Abby Berling placed 3rd in the 185-weight class. 8th Grader Meg Gallagher had two pins at her second tournament as a first-year wrestler and lasted a full 3 periods against last year's KY 100 lb State Champion without getting pinned!
